Ashtanga Yoga

In this class, we practice (part of) the traditional Primary Series of Ashtanga yoga. This is a fixed sequence of standing and seated poses. 

Modifications are offered so the class is suitable for all levels. Beginners learn valuable alignment principles that are useful for many other yoga classes. Advanced practitioners get adjustments to deepen their practice.

Ashtanga yoga helps to develop strength, flexibility, stamina and concentration. It is a dynamic style of yoga, incorporating vinyasa (movement aligned with breath) and with practice it becomes a meditative flow.
